This event, hosted at our newly expanded location, was a unique blend of a celebratory anniversary, an exclusive boat show, and a shared appreciation for the maritime lifestyle with industry partners Beneteau, The American Sailing Association, and Lagoon. A Sunny Start to the 15 Year Anniversary Celebration

The celebration kicked off at 10:30 a.m. at 13555 Fiji Way in Marina del Rey, where guests were welcomed with live music, flavorful tacos, and refreshing drinks. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as members, yachting enthusiasts, and industry professionals mingled, sharing stories and memories from their experiences at Naos Yachts. The combination of live music and delicious food provided the perfect ambiance for networking, allowing attendees to connect with fellow boating enthusiasts and get to know the dedicated team behind Naos Yachts.

Throughout the morning, visitors had the opportunity to explore an exclusive boat show featuring our latest models on sale. This showcase included an array of boats from the Beneteau and Lagoon lines, offering a firsthand look at the craftsmanship and innovation these brands bring to the yachting world. Our team was on hand to provide insights and answer any questions, allowing prospective buyers and curious guests alike to experience the best of Naos Yachts.

Honoring 15 Years of Excellence in Yachting

The heart of the 15 year anniversary celebration was the official ceremony, where Naos Yachts’ leadership addressed the audience to reflect on the company’s journey and accomplishments. Over the past 15 years, Naos Yachts has evolved from a passionate venture into the premier sailboat dealership, offering not only exceptional vessels but also a range of services that enhance the yachting experience for every enthusiast. As a leader in the industry, we’ve paved the way by combining sales expertise with professional charters, comprehensive boating lessons, and our exclusive sailing club through Sailtime, Powertime club, and our newly created Naos Yachts Club, which allows members to enjoy the water with the support and community Naos Yachts is known for.

The ceremony was a time of gratitude as we acknowledged the dedication of our team members, the loyalty of our clients, and the invaluable support of our partners. Together, we have created a community that celebrates a shared love of the ocean, adventure, and the freedom that comes with yachting. This milestone also marked our recent expansion in Marina del Rey, symbolizing not only our past achievements but also our vision for future growth and continued excellence in the yachting industry.

Keynote Speakers and Honored Guests

The ceremony’s first speaker, Charlie Devanneaux, Owner of Naos Yachts, set the tone for the day, sharing his journey from offshore racer to founder of Naos Yachts. Charlie recounted the company’s growth since its establishment in 2009 and highlighted the support of the yachting community and the partnerships with prestigious brands like Beneteau, Lagoon, Neel-trimaran, and Amel Yachts. His words honored the commitment of Naos Yachts to provide customers with a full yachting experience—from sailing education and chartering to membership in an exclusive sailing club and, ultimately, boat ownership.

Following Charlie, Lee Harrison, CEO of the Boy Scouts of America, Western Los Angeles County Council, took the stage. Lee emphasized the partnership between Naos Yachts and the Boy Scouts, sharing stories of collaboration that have allowed countless young people to experience the joy and discipline of sailing. His remarks underscored the shared values of leadership, responsibility, and adventure that both organizations bring to their communities.

The final speaker was Jonathan Payne, Executive Director of the American Sailing Association (ASA). Representing ASA, Jonathan highlighted the integral role Naos Yachts has played in elevating sailing education and promoting responsible boating practices along the West Coast. After his speech, Jonathan surprised the Naos Yachts team with a special proclamation on behalf of the LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce. In a moment that captured the pride of both the company and the community, he declared November 2nd as “Naos Yachts Day” in Marina del Rey and surrounding areas.

Introducing the New Naos Yachts Club

As part of our Marina del Rey expansion, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Naos Yachts Club—a membership program designed to bring our community of sailing enthusiasts even closer together. The Naos Yachts Club offers a dynamic way for clients to connect with fellow sailors, enjoy more time on the water, and engage in fun and educational activities that enhance their skills and safety knowledge.

The Naos Yachts Club provides members with exclusive benefits, including discounts on classes and charters, access to club boats, monthly member sails, summer concert sunset sails, a monthly speaker series, and guided flotillas to Catalina and the Channel Islands. Members also gain access to our Naos Yachts racing program, where they can compete and learn in a supportive and challenging environment. Upon joining, each member will receive a Naos Yachts hat and shirt as a welcome gift, symbolizing their place in our growing community.

The monthly speaker series is one of the club’s highlights, designed to provide ongoing education to keep members' knowledge and skills fresh. Topics include reading weather patterns, navigating the Channel Islands, sail trimming techniques, basic diesel engine maintenance, knot-tying practice, first aid and emergency response, and techniques for sailing in heavy weather. These sessions aim to build confidence and competence, ensuring members feel well-prepared for every adventure.

Expanding Our Fleet: The Largest and Newest in Los Angeles

In line with our commitment to delivering a comprehensive boating experience, we’re excited to announce the expansion of our charter and school fleet, now the largest and newest in Los Angeles! With recent additions, including a 38ft catamaran, a 47ft monohull with four cabins and four heads, a 37ft monohull with three cabins and two heads, and a 30ft monohull, Naos Yachts’ fleet now boasts 16 vessels.

As LA's premier boating destination, we’re proud to offer the only location in Los Angeles where clients can access certified sailing classes via American Sailing, certified powerboating classes via American Boating, SailTime, PowerTime, charters, and yacht brokerage—all in one place. Despite the slightly overcast conditions, spirits were high, and the camaraderie among sailors was undeniable.
