DAY 1 - July 13 2019
Today was the first day of the starts for the 50th running of the legendary TransPac race from Long Beach to Honolulu, Hawai’i. Based upon boat size and type, the starts are done in stages so that as many as boats as possible arrive in Hawai’i at approximately the same time to enjoy that famous island hospitality (and mai tais!). Charles-Etienne Devanneaux and his long-time sailing partner, Fred Courouble, were among the first starters and were soon showing their stern to the competitors in their boat class.
Remember the Girafon team is Sailing for ALS.
