This past month Naos marketing specialist, Cyprien Poulain, flew to France to attend both the Beneteau Academy and the Amel Factory to gain a deeper understanding of what goes into the development and construction of the high-quality vessels that come off of these assembly lines. He saw Lagoon catamarans, Oceanis racer/ cruisers and the other great boats in the Beneteau and Amel fleets in various states of construction.

At both places Cyprien was given a tour of their respective factories to watch the procedure of the build, but to also see, first hand, how meticulous and fastidious the process is. In addition to factory tours, attendees learn about how the companies approach research and development so the products are always current and cutting edge. And, in the case of the Beneteau Academy, students learn about the theories of selling Beneteau products specifically. They give them information and statistics that have been gleaned from decade after decade of successful marketing so customers will always have a knowledgeable salesperson to rely on.

“It was a really eye-opening experience,” Cyprien said of the week-long immersion. “I knew I would learn a lot, but I honestly didn’t think I would come away with the feeling I have about these boats and these companies. The organization and attention to detail is far beyond what I expected, and I expected quite a bit.”
